A vast, ancient rainforest in southwestern Rwanda, Nyungwe is one of Africa’s oldest montane
forests. Its geography is characterized by rugged terrain, deep valleys, and a high-altitude
canopy. The park is a biodiversity hotspot, home to 13 primate species, including chimpanzees
and colobus monkeys. Don’t miss the thrilling canopy walkway, which offers a bird’s-eye view
of the forest.
